We're preparing the first synchronised snapshot from the Ministry of Law Registry. Once the official list is ingested, every licensed moneylender in Singapore will appear here — searchable by name, licence number and area, with a verified date on every listing.
The Registry of Moneylenders is published monthly by the Ministry of Law Singapore. Our team refreshes this directory against every new publication. The official Registry remains authoritative — always cross-check before signing anything.
Original OneCompare content
Every explainer, FAQ answer and area label on this page is written from scratch by our team for Singapore borrowers. We do not reproduce lender websites, third-party directories or MinLaw editorial copy.
Verified dates, transparent updates
Every listing carries a “Last verified” date and links back to the official Registry. Report any inaccuracy from a listing page and we will re-verify against MinLaw before publishing a change.

Frequently asked questions
Licensed moneylenders in Singapore
How do I verify a moneylender is licensed in Singapore?
Cross-check the company name and licence number on this page against the Registry of Moneylenders published by the Ministry of Law (mlaw.gov.sg). The official Registry is authoritative — this directory reflects the last verified snapshot.
How often is this directory updated?
The Ministry of Law publishes the Registry monthly. Our team refreshes this directory against every new publication and stamps each listing with a 'Last verified' date so you can see how current the record is.
Does OneCompare recommend a specific moneylender?
No. This directory is a factual reference tool. OneCompare is a referral platform and does not rank or recommend moneylenders here. Loan decisions are made by the licensed lender you contact directly.
What should I be careful of when contacting a moneylender?
Licensed moneylenders never approve loans purely over SMS, WhatsApp or without a face-to-face verification in Singapore. If a lender skips these safeguards or asks for upfront fees before disbursement, treat it as a red flag and report the incident to the police.
Why does a licence number look like this format?
Ministry of Law licence numbers follow the pattern '<number>/<year>', for example '05/2024'. A trailing year indicates the year the licence was last renewed. Any listing without a valid licence number should not be treated as licensed.
What if I spot an error in a listing?
Use the 'Report an inaccuracy' link on the individual listing page. We verify every reported change against the Ministry of Law Registry before publishing an update.
